Great opportunity for a Certified Clinical Chaplain who is an integral member of healthcare teams that provide spiritual care, crisis intervention, grief counseling, and emotional support to patients, families, and staff across diverse care settings. They address spiritual, ethical, and psychosocial needs, assist with complex care planning, educate healthcare learners, contribute to interdisciplinary teams and quality initiatives, and help ensure holistic, compassionate care for all patients.
Qualified candidates should hold a master’s-level degree in theology, pastoral ministry, pastoral care, religious studies, or a related field; maintain current certification through a recognized national chaplaincy certifying agency; possess ecclesiastical endorsement; and have completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education. In addition, palliative care certification should be obtained within two years through a national certifying body such as BCCI, SCA, or the California State University Shiley Institute for Palliative Care.
