POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Mission Integration Coordinator provides support to ensure successful integration, assessment, and development of Mission. Promotes the organization’s Mission and core values through the integration of the elements of Catholic Identity into hospital’s operations and culture (e.g., strategic planning, policy making, leadership development, budgeting, quality, ethics, education, and new employee orientation). Participates, and in some cases leads the following organizational functions: community outreach. Ministry development,spirituality in the workplace, and ethics. This role will work to sustain and deepen awareness of Aspirus Langlade’s identity as a healing ministry of Jesus. Reports directly to the President, Northeast WI Division.
MISSION INTEGRATION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Acts as a champion for the Catholic identity and Mission of the organization.
2. Holds primary responsibility for Mission, and the Ethics functions within the organization.
3. Provides leadership formation and spirituality programs for the board, leadership, employees, providers, etc.
4. Involved in key organizational processes, such as strategic planning, including interacting with organizational bodies such as the governing board, medical and nursing leadership, and other groups that exert influence over the organization’s culture and operations.
5. Communicates and integrates contemporary Catholic theology into the facility’s vision, strategies, operations and culture.
6. Serves as a credible resource and coach and ensures that theological, religious traditions, ethical and moral issues are embedded in day-to-day operations.
7. Develops and maintains strong relationships and ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders. Visible resource who actively builds relationships with sponsoring bodies to include Founders (Catholic Health International & RHSJ), as well as local and regional stakeholders including the Diocese of Green Bay, and local parishes. Participates as appropriate in activities, programs and committees with above-mentioned stakeholders.
8. Leads, creates, and supports initiatives and projects of the Mission Integration Committee and organizational leaders that contribute to a culture and environment in which employees find meaning and purpose in work to connect with our Mission and Values to find fulfillment and strength for their commitment to serve within the organization and community.
9. Actively collaborates with the local Church community to assist and support, and demonstrate the organization’s commitment to collaborate for the good of those we serve.
10. Collaborates with the Hospital Chaplain to provide holistic (physical, social, emotional and spiritual) care and wellbeing within the hospital community.
11. Holds lead responsibility for ministry formation, education, integration of Mission and Values, including serving as counsel in the development of board, executive and staff orientations.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborates with members of Human Resources, Administration, and colleagues by serving on committees, or projects to accomplish our Mission and stated goals and objectives.
2. Practices the Aspirus System Mission, Philosophy, and Values in daily work activities.
3. Adheres to policies and procedures of ALH/Aspirus and Employee Handbook.

5. Maintains patient, visitor, and employee confidentiality.
Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Demonstrates financial acumen. Leads organizational change by establishing and maintaining interdisciplinary relationships and by collaborating with other organizational and System health care professionals. Enables ministry formation. Exemplifies servant leadership qualities. Fundamental theology, ecclesiology, ministry, and those aspects of canon law pertinent to healthcare. Knowledge of the history and heritage of the sponsoring Congregations; understanding of the Catholic Church and its teachings and of the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. Organizational spirituality/spirituality in the workplace. Clinical, business, and organizational ethics, and social justice. Organizational dynamics, i.e., adult learning, group process, organizational culture, change management, healthcare management collaboration. Community resources and development of collaborative partnerships within the community. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft suite, PowerPoint, social media & internet.
Personality Characteristics: Must be sensitive, empathetic, understanding and tactful in dealing with public, patients, and all hospital and clinic providers and staff. Must have the ability to professionally represent the organization. Has the ability to use logical reasoning principles to arrive at creative solutions to work-related problems for which no established procedure exists. Education: Bachelor’s degree in theology, ethics, healthcare administration or education or related field required. Master’s degree in theology, ethics, healthcare administration or education or related field preferred. Knowledge of religious practices and beliefs in a theological, ministerial or related field.
Experience: Three years healthcare experience, preferably in a leadership role. Must possess knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church and theology and ethics as applied to Catholic health care. Spiritual Care experience preferred.
Other: Understanding and application of the tradition and teachings of the tradition and teachings of the Catholic Church with regard to health care.
