The Staff Chaplain will provide appropriate emotional and interfaith spiritual care for patients, families, and staff. This person will collaborate with other members of the healthcare team in providing holistic care for patients and to support patient families and loved ones. The Staff Chaplain will provide mentoring and education for Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students. Will also participate in department staff meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, and provide support to hospital staff. The Staff Chaplain will coordinate spiritual care at WakeMed Cary and ensure clinical coverage as needed.

Ordination OR Commissioning OR Ecclesiastical Endorsement required

Board Certification as Professional Chaplain preferred; required within 2-years of employment

Master's Degree Divinity Or Theology Or Related Field required

At least four (4) units of ACPE-Accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required
