The Supervisor-Mission Integration & Spiritual Care collaborates with Mission Integration leadership to promote spiritual care and mission throughout the HSHS system by implementing spiritual programs and activities that support HSHS mission, core values, Catholic identity, spiritual care, and strategic goals. Works collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, volunteers, patients/families as HSHS advances its strategic plan toward better health by addressing our human potential, nurturing physician alignment, expanding our site of care transformation and achieving a unified organization.
Education Bachelor’s degree in theology, scripture, spirituality or related field is required. Master’s degree in theology, scripture, spirituality, or related field is preferred. Minimum of (1) unit of clinical pastoral education (CPE) at an Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) Accredited Center is required. Must obtain within 1 year of hire if candidate does not already have 1 CPE from an accredited ACPE program. 2-4 units of CPE is preferred.
Experience 3 years of experience working with Catholic Health Care, Mission or Spiritual Care or related experience is required. Must be a member in good standing within a faith community. At least one year of progressively more responsible leadership experience is required. 2 year of chaplaincy experience within a health care setting is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Certification with National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC) is required. May be obtained within five (5) years of hire if not already certified.
