Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a regional trauma center with 377 beds and a tremendous commitment to quality care. We are now searching for a Manager of Spiritual Care, who will oversee a 24/7 department with a long history of fully integrated service within our ministry.
The ideal candidate will be a Masters-educated, Board-Certified Chaplain, with four units of Clinical Pastoral Education and experience serving in a large, highly-acute medical center. The successful candidate will continue to foster a reputation for clinical integration and relevance with a commitment to mentoring and developing our chaplains. A strong familiarity with the Roman Catholic tradition, seen through the lens of the Second Vatican Council, would also be helpful.

EDUCATION Required/Preferred Education Level Major/Area of Study And/Or Required Masters Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or the equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution. Masters in closely related field if/as approved by VP, Spiritual Health Required CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) 4 units—Accredited or approved by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), by programs that were accredited by the former United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation (USCCB/CCA), or the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS). Equivalency for one unit of CPE (two units in CASC) may be considered. Preferred Advanced training in ethical, religious, and spiritual dimensions of loss, illness and bereavement.
