Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)
Position Description:
Provides spiritual and emotional needs of patients, families and staff.
Qualifications:
- Perpetual, solemn, or final profession of vows, or seminary degree or certification by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains or the College of Chaplains or similar such organization and ecclesiastical endorsement by the applicable denomination of faith community
- High School diploma or its equivalence is required
- Minimum of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education is preferred
- Board Certification by the NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains), APC (Association of Professional Chaplains), or NAJC (Neshama: Associate of Jewish Chaplains) or similar such religious professional organizations is preferred
- One year pastoral care experience. Being a member of a religious order, clergy, or a lay person with two years of relevant experience in care of the sick and dying may be considered in lieu of Clinical Pastoral Education
- Good communication skills
- Ability to articulate the "Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Facilities"
